Xatar's Blade is a unique item in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. This old sword once belonged to Xatar the Unfinished, a legendary Katathian king.

Xatar's Blade is a Collectible item, one of three which will trigger a conversation with Drax on the Milano. Afterwards, its Galactic Compendium entry is unlocked. Players can find it on Maklu IV in Chapter 13: Against All Odds.

The sacred blade of Xatar the Unfinished. Xatar was a warrior-king of the Katathian people whose death is used as an example of how one must find purpose to reach Ultath (paradise). Xatar was initially shamed for his crushing defeat at the hands of a rival king. Upon requesting a duel to the death, which would grant Xatar his place in Ultath, his captor refused. Instead, Xatar was banished and broken.
Xatar refused to give up. Together with a band of his defeated people, he led a great pilgrimage to Maklu IV, where they would hunt the fearsome Kakarantharan dragon, Fin Fang Foom. They stood no chance, but they died gloriously. With purpose.
Many Katathians have forged their own blades to look like Xatar's, hoping to earn a meaningful death and join the legendary king in Ultath.
