The Watchers are a species in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Little is known about them, only that they are an old and powerful race sworn to never interfere, recording history.

Taneleer Tivan, in his Collector's Emporium, has a eye that belonged to a Watcher. The item can be seen when visiting said location during Chapter 6: Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

This oversized orb is the plucked eye of a Watcher, one of the universe's oldest and most powerful races. Their decision to intervene on behalf of less advanced worlds once resulted in great catastrophe, so they have taken a permanent vow not to meddle in our affairs. Apparently, someone meddled in theirs, presumably to harness the Watcher's incomprehensible powers. It is safe for now in my collection, content to return your curious gaze. Does it see you back, I wonder?

- The idea of meddling in the Watchers' affairs, and gouging one of their eyes to harness their powers, might be a reference to the event Original Sin.
