The Universal Church of Truth is a religious organization that appears in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Founded by Raker in order to worship their Golden God, it rose to prominence during the Galactic War until the mysterious disappearance of their deity.

The Universal Church of Truth believes in a "Promise" that will end all grief and suffering in the galaxy. It accepts those who believe in it, but seeks to eliminate those who reject it.

The Universal Church of Truth is a techno-religious organization focused on healing and the relief of suffering. It began after its founded members, deep space miners, lost most of their colony into an incurable disease. The group grew during the Galactic War as world after world fell to the Chitauri assault. Reports of a holy man, an actual healer, traveling with the Church only drew more of the weary and wounded. Led by the "Grand Unifier," Raker, the Church brought rising hope in a time of great loss.
However, the Church started to buckle under the weight of war casualties and the death of its healer "god." By the war's end, they had all but disappeared. The Church has since resurfaced with the Grand Unifier once again at the forefront, but Nova Corps has registered it as a minor sect without significant influence.
