Samaya is a minor character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. She was a StarCorps fleet pilot who played a role in the Galactic War.

BACKGROUND: Denarian Samaya was a member of the StarCorps fleet that created the blockade around Xandar. In a last-ditch effort to buy Xandar time, Samaya led a squadron of StarCorps fighters on a collision course toward the Chitauri Leviathans. She did not survive the encounter.
NOTES: A memorial has been erected on New Xandar, commemorating those who sacrificed their lives for the greater good of the galaxy.
