Gameplay[]
A note with the title Overhead written by Ruby can be found on Knowhere in Chapter 6: Between a Rock and a Hard Place in a narrow passage on a box. The Guardians can meet her later in person in Chapter 13: Against All Odds, where she is the sole survivor of an attack on her camp on Maklu IV. There they can also find another message by her, Unsent: Major Setback.
Records[]
The Nova Corps description of wanted poacher/smuggler Ruby Thursday does not include distinguishing facial features because she has no face. Some of her captured cohorts describe her voluntary self-mutilation, which involved replacing her own head with a malleable plastic orb. The crimson sphere also contains an organic computer, allowing it to extend any number of limbs, custom-formed as various deadly weapons or tools needed for the task at hand.
Ruby runs an interstellar poaching operation under the "Headmen" banner, though additional leaders within the group, as well as their motives, are currently unknown. Investigators have found that the various animal parts (and sometimes people parts) the Headmen collect are always consistent in missing either the head or the body and have never been able to assemble a complete carcass. It is unknown what they're doing with the missing flesh.

Trivia[]
- In the comics, Ruby's real name is Thursday Rubinstein and is a human from Earth. So are Nagan and Chondu, mentioned in her Unsent: Major Setback message. Whether or not this applies to this continuity remains to be seen.
- According to Gamora, Ruby's orb head seems to be an augment, some sort of amorphous bio-chemical appendage.
