The Ravagers are a defunct organization in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Peter Quill is a former member, having joined after meeting Yondu Udonta while imprisoned on Chitauri Prime, and the Milano itself is a former Ravager ship.

The unmistakable silhouette of a Ravager ship was once enough to panic any merchant vessel. The Ravagers were a collection of motley crews, banded together under one pirate banner. They were the reason most interstellar cargo ships now travel with advanced weaponry or security escorts. Nova Corps tried many times to crack down on them, but their arrests were often jailbroken by the substantial pirate fleet. Many of the most wanted were shielded by the galaxy's various crime lords.
Their reign of terror stopped with the arrest of their "untouchable" leader, Yondu Udonta. Purportedly ratted out by one of his own crew, Udonta was arrested by Nova Corps and sentenced to life imprisonment in the Kyln. The betrayal spread distrust and doubt throughout the Ravagers, causing the vision. They have yet to reunite under a new leader, but Nova Corps warns that they are still a major threat waiting to once again reveal itself.References[]
