The Quarantine Zone, sometimes abbreviated as QZ, is a location in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It is a high-security Nova Corps sector located somewhere in the Andromeda Galaxy.

Characteristics[]

The Zone contains the remains of the Galactic War, and is the biggest known concentration of war's debris. Various broken shipwrecks of all factions—such as the Wrecked Mining Vessel, Chitauri vessel, Kree Sentries and Resistance ships—are almost perfectly held in place by pink ebrium-based Nano-Resin and surrounded by a Nova net. Nova Corps' security grid resets every rotation, and require a four digit access code, which are encryption key designed to integrate temporal coordinates and a ship's hard-coded serial into a local number generator.

Although devoid of sentient life, except for the occasional on-site Nova Corps patrols by the Hala's Hope, the restricted zone is still inhabitated by various creatures: Voxiplodes, Wuruums, Shollocks, Moniscobules, a single Acanti, and a mysterious creature.

Gameplay[]

The main setting for Chapter 1: A Risky Gamble, this first area is the introduction to all the game controls, Perks and how Peter Quill can give orders to his crew mates. Enemies to be fought are Voxiplode, Wuruum, Shollock, Moniscobule, and a mysterious creature.

During the level exploration, apart from Components, Peter can pick up Rocket's and Groot's Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) outfits, and the archives QZ Disposal, Nano-Resin Incident ReportPride and FallFailed to Send MessageUnthinkable, and A Miracle!.

THE QUARANTINE ZONE

The Quarantine Zone is a massive graveyard of Galactic War debris, including wrecked vessels, giant robots, explosives, and biological weapons. With no safe way to dispose of all this dangerous cargo, Nova Corps agreed to seal it all away in a productive sphere. The contents inside are bound together with an aggressive ebrium-based nano-resin cluster-foam. The foam will continue to expand and adhere to any surface, pulling all of the scrap together and eventually filling the sphere entirely. The process is currently ongoing, with new wreckage still hauled to the Quarantine Zone and added to the pile.

Until the task is complete, the Nova Corps frigate, Hala's Hope, continues to patrol the area to make sure any contraband stays out of the hands of would-be thieves.
