The following is a list of outfits for Peter Quill in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Outfits[]
Name | Image | Description | Acquisition |
---|---|---|---|
Standard-Lord | ![]() |
My jacket has been with me since about a month after I heard my first Star-Lord track. Sure, I outgrew and replaced it a few times, but that patch is still the original. Together, we've been to prison, flown through wormholes, and even won a galactic war. We're inseparable. | Default |
Original design by Eidos Montréal for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Nova-Lord | ![]() |
We bought this gold dome outfit dirt cheap for a protection gig, but it didn't pan out. I kept mine because the ladies are always asking me to dig it out of the closet so I can show off my Nova Force. I am always ready to protect and serve. [Gamora Addendum] Ew! Just... ew! |
Chapter 2: Busted |
Original design by Eidos Montréal for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | ![]() |
I always imagined Star-Lord as a kind of sci-fi movie hero. I think if they ever make a movie about me, I should be wearing something like this. You can't wear this thing and not feel like some kind of cosmic rogue. Is that a treasure around the corner? No! It's a trap?! Relax, baby... Star-Lord's got this. | Chapter 6: Between a Rock and a Hard Place |
Inspired by Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | |||
Bad-Lord | ![]() |
I've gotta say, my teenage style was as bad as it got. Like good bad, not bad bad. I got my "Missouri Waterfall" hairdo at the mall and mom helped me "turn up the volume." I bet everybody back on Earth's still wearing jean jackets and rocking mullets. I was always way ahead of my time. | Chapter 8: The Matriarch |
Original design by Eidos Montréal for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Apocalypse-Lord | ![]() |
It's just plain fact that bad guys always have the better costumes. Not that I'd ever let the Guardians go that route, but what would it look like if we did? Frickin' cool, no doubt. I guess we could always be one of those dark, brooding teams. Maybe I'll run it past the rest of the gang. | Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 (May 2015) (Age of Apocalypse Variant) Writer: Brian Michael Bendis Artists: Valerio Schiti, Richard Isanove Cover Artists: Dale Keown, Arthur Adams, Jason Keith Editor: Kathleen Wisneski, Jake Thomas, Nick Lowe | |||
War-Lord | ![]() |
When things were going south in the war and we had to dig into the trenches, I needed something more military that would protect the old noggin from fields of Chitauri laser fire. Old Reliable here can take a serious hit, but it heats up fast inside there. I wonder if Rocket could install an air conditioner. | Chapter 13: Against All Odds |
First appeared in Annihilation: Conquest - Starlord #1 (2007) Writer: Keith Giffen Artists: Timothy Green II, Victor Olazaba, Nathan Fairbairn Cover Artist: Nic Klein Editor: Bill Rosemann | |||
Team-Lord | ![]() |
I thought our first try at team uniforms looked fricking awesome. This suit just screams Star-Lord, space adventurer, leader of a bunch of also really sharp-looking space adventurers. Gamora said it made us look like employees of a galactic hotel chain. I con't see it. I only see awesome. | Chapter 14: Into The Fire, or pre-order bonus early unlock[1] |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2008) Writers: Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Artists: Paul Pelletier, Rick Magyar, Nathan Fairbairn Cover Artist: Clint Langley Editor: Bill Rosemann | |||
Gold-Lord | ![]() |
Rocket had the idea to commission new matching uniforms for the group, so I put him in charge of it. He's made some shady deals (the only kind he knows) and somehow came back with this wicked design. I don't know how he pulled it off, but we're gonna look so sweet slow-walking side by side in these things. | Automatically unlocked for Chapter 14 |
Original design by R.B. Silva for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Sleek-Lord | ![]() |
Woo! Just look at how sleek this thing is! As much as I love my code name, I seriously considered changing it when I first saw myself in this suit. I just couldn't think of anything cool. Sleek-Lord? Star-Laser? Sleek-Laser? I guess it doesn't really have a lot to do with lasers anyway. I wonder if Rocket could add lasers to it. | After completing the game |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2013) Writers: Brian Michael Bendis Artists: Steve McNiven, John Dell, Justin Ponsor Cover Artist: Steve McNiven Editor: Stephen Wacker | |||
Space-Lord | ![]() |
My original Star-Lord suit. I based it on some of the old comic books I loved, but the rest of the Ravagers made fun of me for looking too fancy. I'll admit I went a little heavier on the "hero" side and less on the "pirate" side, but I did carry a sword for a while. Mostly because it looked cool. | After completing the game |
First appeared in Marvel Preview #4 (1975) Writers: Steve Englehart Artists: Steve Gan, Bob McLeod, Black and White Cover Artist: Gray Morrow Editor: Gerry Conway | |||
Social-Lord | ![]() |
After the Resistance won the war, I had to deal with a lot of annoying noise as people tried to get everything back to normal: boring ceremonies, planetary diplomats, even a couple of weddings. I needed something to blend in, but also to let me jump right into action if any surprises popped up. They did--it still has a few scorch marks on it. | After completing the game |
First appeared in All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2017) Writer: Gerry Duggan Artists: Aaron Kuder, Ive Svorcina Cover Artist: Aaron Kuder Editors: Darren Shan, Kathleen Wisneski, Jordan D. White | |||
City-Lord | ![]() |
I usually just charge in with my guns blazing but I recently asked Gamora to show me some of her tricks. She suggested I try wearing something more "urban" that lets me take my shots and then disappear into the throng. I don't know what a throng is, but I am totally in love with the new suit. | After completing the game, or pre-order bonus early unlock[1] |
Original design by R.B. Silva for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Sun-Lord | ![]() |
I want them to know when Star-Lord enters the battlefield. I need something that blazes through all the gun smoke and makes my enemies say, "Oh scut! That's Star-Lord! We're so screwed! Maybe we should just surrender now!" And I wouldn't even comb my hair or anything. Maybe just a little. No! I'd let it grow wild so it could blow in the wind like flames. |
After completing the game, or pre-order bonus early unlock[1] |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #9 (2020) - December 09, 2020 Writer: Al Ewing Artists: Juan Cabal and Frederico Blee Cover Artist: Rafael Albuquerque Editors: Lauren Amaro, Darren Shan, and Mark Basso |

Trivia[]
- As Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's Guardians of the Galaxy run was one of the key inspirations for the game, Team-Lord was a natural choice and an interesting challenge, as Peter's helmet is "radically unique."[2]
- While the team's Age of Apocalypse looks only appeared on a variant cover for the 2016 event Apocalypse Wars, they were chosen because they were very "striking".[2]
- The in-game description for the Social-Lord outfit erroneously credits its first comic appearance as All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2017), but it actually first appeared in Star-Lord #2 (2016), originally designed by artist Kris Anka.
