A Nova Force lock disabler is a minor item in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy meant to work in conjunction with Nova Force Locks. Illegal replicas of these items can be acquired on Knowhere.

Since a Nove Force lock is placed on the Milano during Chapter 2: Busted, a disabler can be purchased by Peter Quill at a market stall (called Jn'os Parts and Service) on Knowhere, during Chapter 6: Between a Rock and a Hard Place, for 1500 ₳. Contrary to what its name would suggest, it won't remove the lock. Instead, Peter inevitably has to decide whether or not to pay Ko-Rel's fine during Chapter 9: Desperate Times.

These devices, frequently sold in Knowhere's black market, appear to be replicas of Nova Force locking system keys. With the original key, Corpsman can attach and remove a ship-disabling tracker from impounded and temporarily released vessels.
This replica is significantly lighter than its source and makes a disturbing rattle when shaken. Note that tampering with a Nova Force lock can permanently damage a ship and can also lead to more fines.
