A NFD6 is a personal data device used by Nova Corps. In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, one of these items is used by Nicholette Gold as her personal device, having a Galactic Compendium entry of its own.

Usually, only the higher Nova Corps ranks receive these "passkeys". One of these devices, registered as P4933403-5, was assigned to Centurion Meggmek, but they reported it defective and then discarded it. Cadet Nicholette Gold, however, secretly acquired it and reprogrammed it to override door locks throughout Hala's Hope.

In Chapter 2: Busted, Peter Quill can receive the key from Nikki, if he sides with her instead of Ko-Rel. The key then will come in handy in one of the later chapters, when the Guardians of the Galaxy must return to the Hala's Hope.

The NFD6, also known as a Nova Corps "passkey," is a personal data device provided to the higher ranks of Nova Corps. This one, registered as P4933403-5, was reported defective and discarded by Centurion Meggmek. Its core operating software has since been modified to block access to the Xandarian Worldmind and to override specific door locks throughout Hala's Hope. Important rules and regulations primers have been deleted and replaced with forbidden entertainment software and Xandarian "zap-pop" music.
