Mourning candles are minor items in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It is memorial candle that is lit in memory of the dead, in particular as a result of the Galactic War.

This candle is a Collectible item which can be picked up in Chapter 10: Test of Faith. Peter Quill and a cured Drax can talk about it on the Milano from Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run onwards.

In the aftermath of the Galactic War, these morning candles were used to remember all those who died in the struggle against the Chitauri. Some worlds were hit so hard, the number of candles they lit for their fallen could be seen from space. It is not uncommon to find one of these memorials in people's homes throughout the known universe since nearly everyone lost friends and family. While they commemorate the dead, they also serve as a reminder to stay vigilant.
