Moniscobules are creatures in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. They are heavily-mutated Huskian Spindlerats due to living inside the Quarantine Zone.

The Guardians encounter this monster for the first time during Chapter 1: A Risky Gamble in the Quarantine Zone in the mining area, just after Peter Quill separates from Rocket and Groot.

These unusual creatures are found exclusively in Nova Corps' post-war wreckage dump, the Quarantine Zone. The fact that they were never seen before led scientists to believe it was a mutation caused by the radiation and toxic substances within the crashed ships. Genetic analysis concluded that the moniscobule was originally a Huskian spindlerat, a common breed of vermin found aboard many deep spaceships. This mutation has increased its size tenfold and distorted its body to the point where it is unrecognizable.
Nova Corps has assured scientists that these unfortunate beasts will be sealed away and destroyed with the rest of the hazardous contents of the Quarantine Zone bubble.
