Molly Quill is a minor character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. She is the mother of Meredith Quill and the grandmother of Peter Quill. Molly and her husband Gene owned a farm in St. Charles, Missouri.

Background

A rural farmer from Earth, Molly met and married Gene Quill, with whom she had a single daughter Meredith. Together, Gene and Molly built a property in St. Charles. They produced and sold grain to the local community.

When they retired, the property was inherited by Meredith, who chose to raise her son Peter there. It is unknown whether Gene and Molly knew about Peter's father, but Molly and Gene loved their grandson. They would sometimes let him sleep with them if he was too afraid down in the basement. Molly used to take Peter into town on Sundays to run errands, and stop for ice cream on the way home even in winter. Under unknown (but normal) circumstances, Molly passed away sometime prior to Peter's thirteenth birthday.

Gameplay

During Chapter 3: The Cost of Freedom and Chapter 6: Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Peter mentions both of his grandparents when he interacts with Kubrick or with a photo which shows Gene and Molly, as well as inspect some paintings that Molly illustrated.

• Molly was an avid artist, with many of her landscape paintings decorating the Quill farm.
