Lamentis is one of several locations in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It is a remote planet on the edge of Kree Space that serves as a home to the Priests of Pama and the Cotati species.

The Guardians visit Lamentis during Chapter 10: Test of Faith and Chapter 11: Mind Over Matter in order to visit the Caves of Lamentis where they hope to cure Drax from the Promise.

Everything about this remote planet is an enigma. While its surface is largely covered by starkly contrasting dunes and oceans, its center appears to be a series of hollowed-out tunnels. In fact, researchers have found no evidence of a traditional solid or liquid planetary core, which should be physically impossible. Yet Lamentis remains hospitable to life.
Its largest village, Nok Tamal, houses both the Priests of Pama and, under their care, the remnants of the Cotati civilization. Here, the priests continue their meditations on peace and prophecy, far enough from any spaceport to not be bothered by the galaxy's perpetual chaos. With Cotati assistance, the priests are in-tune with local flora and fauna, running Nok Tamal in perfect harmony with the bizarre natural world around it.
