Lady Hellbender is the tertiary antagonist in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. A statuesque warrior and collector of rare beasts, she has crowned herself as the "Monster Queen" of her home planet Seknarf Nine. Living in a magnific fortress, her servants are the Hellraisers.
Background[]
Lady Hellbender is a monster collector. During the course of the game, the Guardians will attempt to sell either Groot or Rocket to her to earn money to pay a fine, intending to liberate their sold teammate later.
Personality[]
Lady Hellbender is a fearsome warrior: she bears formidable strength, a strong inclination towards grudges, and a sense of honor. On a more humorous note, she can be quite flirtatious: while she is mostly dismissive of Star-Lord, she has a particular interest in Drax the Destroyer, and referred to Adam Warlock as a "precious little candy in his golden wrapper".
She also seems to care for the environment of Seknarf Nine and her beasts, but not her own men.
Gameplay[]
Lady Hellbender is a non-playable character. Despite being an antagonist to the Guardians, she cannot be encountered in combat directly; instead she has Dweller-in-Darkness fight them as a boss, and later Glah-Ree's Lethal Legion.
Regarding items, numerous archives mention her, such as Stupid Job, Off The Grid, or Collateral Damage.
Records[]
Seknarf Nine's "Monster Queen" was once a nameless virgin sacrifice fed to a "holy" monster. She surprised everyone by taming the beast and emerging from the sacrificial pit unscathed. Reborn as "Lady Hellbender," she then wrestled power from the priests, took control of the planet and transformed it into a lawless wonderland better reflective of her own image—perfidious, cunning, and cutthroat. Now, she's the one throwing priests into the jaws of monsters, and the only gods left are the ones she commands.
Lady Hellbender leads a burgeoning criminal empire founded on the training and trafficking of rare space monsters. Her minions scour the galaxy for new creatures to add to her twisted sanctuary. While some are traded or sold, the vast majority—her favorites—join her exotic ecosystem, where they are further tamed and trained as both her "children" and her personal army.

NOTES: Little known about Lady Hellbender prior to the Galactic War. Only that attempts made by the Chitauri forces to colonize Seknarf-Nine ceased once she overthrew the planet's ruling priest class.
Although Hellbender was not directly associated with the Resistance, her own violent opposition to invasion has been noted by the Worldmind.
At this time, Seknarf-Nine remains a non-member of the Nova Corps' intergalactic militia despite recruitment efforts from theWorldmind. It is also worth noting that Hellbender's political status grants her certain immunities and protections under Galactic Treaty.
ADDENDUM 1: Currently, Hellbender operates a "sanctuary" for monstrous creatures from across the galaxy. This sanctuary has encouraged poaching. Further monitoring is required.
ADDENDUM 2: Hellbender has recently placed a bounty on the Gardeners of the Galaxy. She has since hired the Lethal Legion.
