Katathians are a race of humanoids hailing from the planet Katath.

Characteristics[]
Katathians are humanoids, with their most distinguishable feature being their teal skin. Adult Katathians are seen with red tattoos across their bodies, which are markers are their feats.
Of all the alien groups observed, Katathians have arguably the most thoroughly explored culture. While capable of space travel and by no means primitive, Katathians have a relatively low-tech civilization, with many living simple lives of hunting and farming. A strong warrior culture based on honor is prevalent, with dying in battle seen as glorious.
Katathian depiction of the afterlife is comparable to German paganism: those who die worthy and purposeful deaths go to Ultath, while those who do not are sentenced to the frigid Sarduth (roughly analagous to Valhalla and Hell, respectively). Katathians also have their own language, although it is only heard briefly in a song from Drax.

- On Maklu IV, the Guardians can find the message The End of My Hunt by a Katathian called "Tromax the Elder".
- On Maklu IV, Peter also an find a relic called Xatar's Blade, which belonged to Xatar the Unfinished, a Katathian King. It's one of the collectibles and will trigger a conversation with Drax.
