The Jackogels are creatures that appear in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. A jelly cube-looking species, they are predators native to Seknarf Nine.

The Guardians encounter this monster for the first time in Chapter 3: The Cost of Freedom.

These deceptively slow-moving gelatinous cubes often surprise their prey by hurling themselves forward or ambushing from above. The strange biology of a Seknarfian jackogel consists of a living crystal core surrounded by a protective/digestive barrier of slime.
Xenobiologist Fer-Gom has run several extensive experiments to measure the creature's intelligence, but she concluded that they don't actually think outside of four basic commands: "see food, move towards food, kill food, eat food."
Fer-Gom updated her list upon discovering more evolved jackogels deep inside the Seknarfian wilds. It now includes "shred food with crystal spikes," and "explode."
