Investigating the Hand is an archive item in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The message was written by Resme Valot about her research on the mysterious Continuum Cortex.
Gameplay[]
The archive can be found on Knowhere during Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run. Once the team finishes fight the large number of enemies at the Brain Matter mining site, Drax is needed to lift a box to progress. Upon climbing and seeing a Workbench, one must head to the right and use Groot to lift themselves up. On the platform above players can find the archive.

RESME VALOT
1. We managed to obtain a "blood sample" from the Hand at no small price. Our agent confirms that there was originally liquid in the vial, but it quickly dissipated when removed from the Cortex region.
2. Theories that the hamd is attached to a larger body are unsubstantiated. Nobody has seen any evidence of this, so we assume it is disembodied.
3. The hand was first sighted around the time of Cosmo's arrival, leading us to believe it is a telekinetic projection crafted by his own psychic abilities.
4. My security guard, Blett, surprised me with an astute observation: "If Cosmo is indeed the originator, why isn't it a giant paw?"
5. My other security guard, Gunpt, countered with an equally astute observation: "Because he's a flarkin' dog. Could look like the hand of his previous owner."
