Humans, more often called Terrans, are a major race in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. They are the dominant and intelligent species of planet Earth, but have yet to achieve spacefaring capabilities.

Humans are terrestrial mammals characterized by their erect posture and bipedal locomotion, manual dexterity, and complex brains. Human biology is considered to be fairly average for sentient standards; however, they also possess a sub-group of individuals known as Mutants (such as Dazzler), who are inherently born with a gene that allows them to develop superpowers.
Humans are know to be able to produce offspring with Spartoi, with Peter Quill as an example, and potentially with Kree. While Nikki Gold's parentage remains a mystery, she suspected Peter to be her father, meaning crossbreeding is possible, if forbidden by Kree purity laws.
