Groot's harness is a personal item in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Created by Rocket, it is helpful in combat for Rocket to fire his Bye-Bye Engine.

Unlike Peter Quill's visor, Groot's harness has only one outfit variant—for Groot's Golden Guardians costume—as most of his alterate skins do not have a harness, or generally any clothes for that matter. Its Galactic Compendium entry is unlocked by default.

Groot's back-mounted harness was hand-crafted by Rocket, who assembled it out of pieces from a stolen Halfworld ship. The harness has special sentimental value not only because it represents both Rocket's freedom from torturous experiments and his bond with his best friend, but also because it lets him tower high above the battlefield and snipe scutholes without mercy.
