Halfworld is a location in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The Kree Empire-aligned planet in the Keystone Quadrant is the homeworld of Rocket, where he was experimented upon to become a bioweapon.

Although the crew won't visit Halfworld in the game, it is mentioned in various conversations with Rocket, when he tells Peter Quill more about his past and the cruel experiments done to him. It has a Galactic Compendium entry.

Halfworld is a planet in the Keystone Quadrant split almost directly in half, with one side covered in lush forests and the other completely industrialized. As an important asset of the Kree Empire, Halfworld was expected to bolster its military might with experimental weapon projects. Primarily focusing on AI robotics, such as the massive Kree Sentries, they soon realized they had a valuable, unexploited resource—animals living deep in the woods. Thus, the Kree hybrid program began.
Abducted animals found themselves altered by bioengineering—their brains augmented with A.I. and their bodies physically enhanced. A rare few even gained sentience, which created several violent incidents and at least one reported escape. The hybrids did go on to fight in the Galactic War and most of them were sacrificed as acceptable losses while creating distractions or holding the line just a bit longer for the Kree soldiers to survive. Halfworld has gone silent since the war and it is unclear whether the experiments continue.
