Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)		I am Groot. [Rocket Addendum] Quill's sold Groot on this idea that someday they'll make one of his Earth "movies" about the Guardians of the Galaxy. He says Groot wouldn't even need a costume because he already looks so awesome. Now he's got the big guy talkin' about runnin' around without net mesh or buckles or nothin', which is basically naked. Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse		I am Groot. [Rocket Addendum] Groot's been tellin' me about this recurrin' nightmare where he's frothin' evil. The rest of us, too. Nova Corps		I am Groot. [Rocket Addendum] Don't get me wrong, there are some weird-lookin' flarkers in Nova Corps. I seen tentacles, wings, two heads. But when we were gonna disguise ourselves as bucket heads for a quick job, Groot just wasn't sellin' it. Why did we ever think this would work? Who'm I kiddin'? Annihilation: Conquest Suit		I am Groot. [Rocket Addendum] We came up with them suits when we were workshoppin' the Guardians of the Galaxy brand. Groot looked flarkin' dignified in that thing, but his twigs kept pokin' little holes right through the armpits. He also complained that it made his bark damp and itchy.	Chapter 10: Test of Faith

Five O'Clock Sprouts		I am Groot. [Rocket Addendum] Believe it or not, Groot usually grooms himself pretty good. You don't wanna be behind him when he lets himself grow. Golden Guardians		I am Groot... [Rocket Addendum] Rare to see the big guy at a loss for words. I paid a friend of mine on Knowhere to come up with matchin' team costumes for us. I told him to make Groot's extra shiny because he goes for that kinda thing. Don't tell Groot, but I also asked for extra paddin' in my back harness. Trivia

• Groot's appearance is special is that each outfit completely changes his look. It was a lot of work to remake him each time, but after defining the workflows on the second outfit, the rest was a lot easier to make. The Golden Guardians look was probably the easiest outfit since only the harness is changed.
• The in-game description of the Impaler outfit erroneously mentions that it first appeared in the Age of Apocalypse variant cover. Its first appearance was in Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2019). Via Twitter, issue #4 is given as the source.
• While the team's Age of Apocalypse looks only appeared on a variant cover for the 2016 event Apocalypse Wars, they were chosen because they were very "striking". The team had a lot of fun recreating them, especially Groot's.
