The following is a list of outfits for Gamora Zen-Whoberi in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Outfits[]
Name | Image | Description | Acquisition |
---|---|---|---|
Standard Outfit | ![]() |
Thanos taught us that our own bodies are our most reliable weapons. Disarmed or captured, my sister and I remained just as lethal. This suit was custom-designed to enhance my natural movements. Armor where I'm vulnerable. Ridges and blades where I connect. Easy cleanup. | Default |

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | ![]() |
Peter's always talking about how some day they'll make a "movie" about us, which is apparently like holo-vid entertainment, but much more primitive. He says I would be the "antihero," but I would have to ditch my armor and worry more about "looking cool." I don't know the science behind it, but I bet dark leather helps you kill better. | Chapter 3: The Cost of Freedom |
Inspired by Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | |||
Nova Corps | ![]() |
Hah! From that BAGOO! contract that never panned out. This thing is a knockoff, but it's a good one. It captures all the stiff joints and awkward angles the Nova Corps knows and loves. Seriously, how do they fly straight in these things? | Chapter 7: Canine Confusion |
Original design by Eidos Montréal for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse | ![]() |
Mantis seemed convinced I was always meant to end up with the Guardians. I wonder, if I had followed the evil path set by my father, would I have changed them? What kind of power would we have sought together? It's a frightening thought. | Chapter 10: Test of Faith |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 (May 2015) (Age of Apocalypse Variant) Writer: Brian Michael Bendis Artists: Valerio Schiti, Richard Isanove Cover Artists: Dale Keown, Arthur Adams, Jason Keith Editor: Kathleen Wisneski, Jake Thomas, Nick Lowe | |||
Casual Kill | ![]() |
While some assassination jobs are better done by sticking to the shadows, most are the opposite. If you can keep your head down, avoid eye contact, and blend in with a crowd, you can walk right up to somebody and stick a knife in their throat before they even realize you're somebody significant. And you can disappear just as fast. | Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run |
First appeared in Infinity Gauntlet #2 (2015) Writers: Dustin Weaver, Gerry Duggan Artist: Dustin Weaver Cover Artist: Dustin Weaver Editor: Nick Lowe, Devin Lewis | |||
Black Vortex | ![]() |
Thanos sought powerful relics to fuel his murderous schemes. He sent Nebula and I to find something called the "Black Vortex," which would grant him unprecedented cosmic power. We never found it, but I longed to gaze into that mirror, knowing it would give me the power to kill him myself. | Chapter 13: Against All Odds, or pre-order bonus early unlock[1] |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: Black Vortex Alpha #1 (2015) Writers: Sam Humphries Artist: Ed Mcguinness, Kris Anka, Mark Farmer, Jay Leisten, Mark Morales, Marte Gracia, Marcelo Maiolo Cover Artists: Ed Mcguinness, Justin Ponsor Editor: Mike Marts | |||
Chosen Daughter | ![]() |
A gift from father, from back when I was his most reliable killer. It has everything an assassin could want: temperature regulation, noise dampeners, surveillance scrambling, and it feels like Shi'ar silk on the inside. Now I use it to kill people like him. | Chapter 14: Into The Fire |
First appeared in Gamora #1 (2016) Writer: Nicole Perlman Artists: Marco Checchetto, Andres Mossa Cover Artist: Esad Ribic Editors: Katie Kubert, Bill Rosemann, Christina Harrington, Nick Lowe | |||
Golden Guardians | ![]() |
Rocket commissioned this armor design from some black market artist he met on Knowhere. Knowing Rocket, I was expecting it to be loaded up with ammo pouches... and ammo belts... and ammo straps. I'm amazed to find it's expertly designed and battleworthy. | Automatically unlocked for Chapter 14 |

Trivia[]
- Inspired by the 2015 comic event Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: Black Vortex, Gamora's Black Vortex outfit was also one of the team's favorites, with a cape that is "just badass."[2]
- While the team's Age of Apocalypse looks only appeared on a variant cover for the 2016 event Apocalypse Wars, they were chosen because they were very "striking".[2]
