The following is a list of outfits for Drax in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Outfits[]
Name | Image | Description | Acquisition |
---|---|---|---|
Standard Outfit | ![]() |
My story is written upon my flesh. Any Katathian would immediately understand the threat before them. I am told it is equally intimidating to those who perceive it as mere decoration. Why would I not take advantage of that fear? | Default |

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | ![]() |
Peter Quill fondly describes "films" from his home world. They were apparently two-dimensonal projected fiction. Or sometimes three-dimensional through the sorcery of special extra-dimensional glasses. He often describes how our team might be represented in these films. He says my ritual scars would be "more badass." I do not understand this phrase. | Chapter 4: The Monster Queen |
Inspired by Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) | |||
Nova Corps | ![]() |
Peter Quill acquired counterfeit Nova Corps uniforms for a security job. We were to pretend the Worldmind had sent us in order to obtain a larger cash reward. Our clients realized the deception and promptly fires us. I do not know why we kept the costumes. | Chapter 5: Due or Die |
Original design by Eidos Montréal for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2021) | |||
Cage Match | ![]() |
I have found a solution to our financial woes. I will perform unmitigated violence within the confines of a steel cage for extreme monetary reward. Peter Quill is enthusiastic about the idea but says I must first procure "trunks." I shall endeavor to do so. | Chapter 8: The Matriarch |
First appeared in Drax #1 (2015) (Mcguinness Variant) Writers: CM Punk, Cullen Bunn Artists: Scott Hepburn, Matt Milla Cover Artist: Ed Mcguinness Editors: Jon Moisan, Jake Thomas, Kathleen Wisneski | |||
Thanos Imperative | ![]() |
I wore this Katathian funerary garb to honor my beloved Hovat and Kamaria as I sought vengeance for their murders. Though I do not believe I killed the Mad Titan, donning this again may further pay tribute to my family. Hovat always had difficulty controlling her feminine urges when I wore the color purple. | Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run, or pre-order bonus early unlock[1] |
First appeared in The Thanos Imperative (June 2010) Writers: Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Artists: Miguel Sepulveda, Jay Davis Ramos Cover Artist: Aleksi Briclot Editor: Bill Rosemann | |||
Katathian Monk | ![]() |
Ah, yes, the robes of a Katathian monk. They are rare pacifists who seek to clear their minds and avoid all violence. I own one because they are incredibly soft against my naked skin after a shower. | Chapter 13: Against All Odds |
First appeared in All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (May 2017) Writer: Gerry Duggan Artists: Aaron Kuder, Ive Svorcina Cover Artist: Aaron Kuder Editors: Darren Shan, Kathleen Wisneski, Jordan D. White | |||
Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse | ![]() |
All of us Guardians have been criminals in the past. We have changed our ways, for the most part. Perhaps there are timelines where we celebrated our darker instincts. Maybe we were a team of villains. Would we be unstoppable? | Chapter 12: Knowhere To Run |
First appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy #8 (May 2015) (Age of Apocalypse Variant) Writer: Brian Michael Bendis Artists: Valerio Schiti, Richard Isanove Cover Artists: Dale Keown, Arthur Adams, Jason Keith Editor: Kathleen Wisneski, Jake Thomas, Nick Lowe | |||
Golden Guardians | ![]() |
The furry one commissioned a Knowhere artist to redesign our team gear. It is quite fetching and will cause fear in my unfortunate opponents. I do worry that it will soon be stained by their spilled internal ichors as I disembowel them. | Automatically unlocked for Chapter 14: Into The Fire |

Trivia[]
- Drax is the kind of character for whom balancing his seriousness and humor is a fine line to walk on, which extended to some of his outfits. The Katathian Monk one, taken from All-New Guardians of the Galaxy, was a perfect representation of this duality so the team added it.[2]
- While the team's Age of Apocalypse looks only appeared on a variant cover for the 2016 event Apocalypse Wars, they were chosen because they were very "striking".[2]
