The Deep Mine Device is a Guardian Collectible and conversation trigger item for Rocket. Players can find it during Chapter 8: The Matriarch.
Records[]
An ancient technological device unearthed by a deep space mining colony. Their chief scientist, Raker, submitted the artifact to the Galactic Science Committee for study, but they were unable to discern its origin or its function. They did conclude that it was potentially an aerosol delivery system, perhaps even a weapon. They advised Raker to dispose of the device.
One of the GSC researchers dissented and believes it to be a Badoon egg warmer. The Committee denied his request for further study.
