Chitauri sear-cuffs are items in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy used to keep prisoners of the Chitauri Empire in line. One of these particular Chitauri-made handcuffs is a Guardian Collectible for Peter Quill.

Gameplay[]
The sear-cuffs can picked up by Peter Quill on Seknarf Nine during Chapter 4: The Monster Queen and can be found later in Chapter 5: Due or Die on the Milano in his room. This item triggers a conversation, where Peter reveals more about his past as a Chitauri prisoner and his absent father.
Records[]
The rare Chitauri prisoners that survived internment often describe the sear-cuffs as the worst pain they've ever felt. Believing that a captive is most at risk of escaping during transport, the Chitauri like to deal the punishment up front as a deterrent. The cuffs stimulate nerves throughout the body to experience an intense burning sensation, making it impossible to focus on anything else. If the prisoner faints or cannot walk, the Chitauri are large enough to drag them to their destination.
