A Chewbacca toy is an item featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. An action figure that once belong to Peter Quill, he gave it to Ko-Rel as a keepsake during the Galactic War.

The toy is a 1977 Kenner action figure based on the character Chewbacca from the Star Wars film series, but without its Bowcaster Rifle accessory.[2]
Gameplay[]
Meredith Quill steps on it in the Prologue. The figurine appears again later on the Hala's Hope in Ko-Rel's office in Chapter 2: Busted, and in Chapter 7: Canine Confusion when the Guardians return on the Hala's Hope and search Nikki's secret hideout. After claiming it back, it appears on the Milano from then onwards.

This childhood toy represents a strange brown creature called Chewbacca from a popular entertainment franchise on Earth. Nova Corps Centurion Ko-Rel describes the object in a Hala's Hope possessions report: "A child's toy. No toxic materials or weapon functions. It was the childhood toy of Peter Jason Quill, also known as Star-Lord. His Chitauri captors confiscated it, but for some reason he went back for it, as well as for his other possessions, before escaping. He said it used to have something called a "bowcaster" that was chewed up by an Earth beast called a Kubrick."

- Director Jean-François Dugas explained that the figurine's presence is due to his own childhood, while also serving to immediately ground players across the world in that time period. He was initially told he wouldn't be able to include it, but after a year of working with the people at Marvel, they were given the approval to use the character's likeness in the game.[3][4]
