Captain America is a minor cameo character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. A known hero from Earth, he is the presumed leader of the Avengers and an apparent associate of Jack Flag.

Captain America doesn't appear in-game other than as a voice during Chapter 7: Canine Confusion, while the Guardians travel the Continuum Cortex in order to teleport to the Hala's Hope. He is also referenced in the Galactic Compendium in Jack's entry, who has urged Nova Corps to contact him to verify at least one of his stories.

- Bruno Gauthier-Leblanc came up with the triangles in the Continuum Cortex as windows into other realities. While this game is a different continuity from any of the Avengers and Spider-Man games, comics, or movies, the team thought it would be cool that in a sense they could be. Originally, the player would get to see what is happening (such as the Avengers in action), but due to production constraints, they had to scope it down and use audio nods.[2]
