Black Quadrant is a mentioned-only galactic sector in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It is unknown where it is located, but it served as a base of operations for Thanos during the Galactic War.
Story[]
Little is known about the Black Quadrant or its history. Sometime in 7789,[2] in what would be the waning months of the Galactic War, Thanos was "hiding" on an inhospitable moon in the Black Quadrant.
Drax, seeking revenge against Thanos for the death of his wife and daughter, gained the ability to sense Thanos' life force across the galaxy thanks to the sorcery of Mentor and Chronus and located him on that moon. Drax and Thanos battled for days, until at last, Drax threw a final swing before collapsing from exhaustion, allegedly killing Thanos. Drax woke up rotations later on Elanis, now hailed as a hero, as Thanos' death had allowed the Resistance and Kree Empire to win the war; however, Drax could still feel him out there.
Gameplay[]
The Black Quadrant is only mentioned in-game by Drax while talking to Peter Quill during the Guardian Collectible conversation triggered by Drax's Rap Sheet aboard the Milano, which can be from Chapter 9: Desperate Times onwards.
